FAQ
Welcome to our FAQ Section! We've compiled a list of some common questions that our customers ask. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, feel free to reach out to us directly.
-
What's included when I book a Marveloo? We will deliver and fully set up the loo trailer at your event, and come to collect it when the event finishes. All of our Marveloos arrive at your event shiny clean, fragrantly fresh and fully stocked with toilet rolls, hand towels, eco-friendly hand washes (with spares stored on board). We decorate our huts inside with faux plants, and outside potted box trees. We also offer, as an optional extra, a 'courtesy tray' which includes sanitary products, deodorants, perfumes, heal protectors etc.
-
What do the units need to operate?Electricity - All our units require connection to either a standard 13 amp household socket or, if there is not a mains electricity supply reasonably close to the toilet trailer, a 5KVA generator. We will provide a 30m extension lead as standard, and we can hire out a suitable, quiet generator. A mains electricity supply is always preferable to a generator, simply because it is more dependable. Water - Our toilet trailers have an on-board fresh water storage tank and do not need a water supply. Drainage - Our toilet trailers are self-contained using the industry standard recirculating system for flushing, using filters and fresh smelling environmentally friendly additives.
-
Will I need to provide anything for the unit? No, our units come with everything required including eco-toilet paper and hand towels, eco-soaps and hand moisturisers. We can also provide customers with a 'courtesy tray' as an extra, this includes sanitary products, deodorants, perfumes, heal protectors etc.
-
How, where and when do you deliver your loo trailers? We deliver and collect the trailers using 4x4 vehicles. We will call during the week before your event to confirm the delivery date and a time slot with you. For weekend events we usually deliver on the Thursday or Friday and collect on the Monday or Tuesday following. The dimensions of the units vary as shown on 'Our Loo Trailers" pages, with the largest 3+1 trailers being 2.3m wide and 2.9m high. If you think your entrance is small and you have overhanging trees it would be prudent for us to discuss it, perhaps with the aid of a video of the access and proposed final location, however it is normally possible to find a good solution. If necessary, a site visit can also be arranged to confirm access and location details.
-
What do you mean when you say the loos are environmentally friendly? Our units are the latest recirculating units which means they use very little water. We also use environmentally friendly non-formaldehyde chemicals, Ecover cleaning fluids and sustainable and biodegradable sea kelp soaps and moisturisers and bamboo paper products, wherever possible.
-
What is done to stop the loo trailers from smelling? We complete a deep clean of each Marveloo the day after an event and again the day before its next event, so that it arrives sparkling clean and smelling beautifully fresh. We use eco-friendly cleaning chemicals which leave a long-lasting fragrance to mask any unwelcome smells. In addition, each washroom in each unit has an automatic air freshener discreetly installed to keep our loos smelling great throughout.
-
What if there is a technical problem on site? All our units are deep cleaned, fully tested and prepared before they leave our depot. In the unlikely event that you experience a blockage or another problem, we have a 24/7 helpline and will advise over the phone. If this doesn't rectify the problem we will get an attendant out to you immediately.
-
Do Marveloos come with an attendant or need servicing? Our Marveloos will arrive at your event shiny clean and smelling sweetly. They are low maintenance and when selected correctly against the number of guests at your event, and based on 8 to 10 hours of usage, they will comfortably last the duration of your event if used with respect. Should you wish to increase the capacity of the loo you have hired then it is possible to request a ‘Pump Out‘ when booking. For larger events requiring more than one loo trailer, and lasting for more than one day, we would insist on providing a toilet attendant to be on hand to discreetly maintain the unit, completing ongoing cleaning and keeping it fully stocked with loo roll and everything else that is required. The toilet attendant will ensure your loos are operating perfectly so that you have nothing to worry about!
-
When & how do I need to pay for the toilet hire?Firstly, please note that all Marveloo invoices are VAT free. Secondly, a 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with final delivery being subject to the balance being paid at least 14 days before the event. For emergency bookings made less than 14 days before the event, full payment is required to confirm the booking. Deposits and invoices can be paid online via BACS. Please note that bookings for the trailers are often made pre-season and therefore cancellations will usually result in a loss of business for Marveloos, Therefore, unfortunately, if your event is cancelled we are unable to refund your deposit, if it is cancelled within 30 days of the hire start date then we would require 50% of the hire charge, and if the cancellation is made within 14 days of the event we would require 100% of the hire charge.
-
Do I need insurance to have a Marveloo at my event? Many portable loo hire companies will ask you to sort out your own insurance, however Marveloos are fully insured at your event keeping costs down and minimising hassle at a busy time. We do ask that you take care of the loos when they are at your event, they are our livelihood and the insurance doesn't cover reckless damage. We will hitch lock and wheel clamp the loos whilst they are with you.
